Other things you could have done in the time it took Clinton to deliver his speech:

  • Walk from one side of Charlotte to the other
  • Get through half a game of Settlers of Catan
  • Microwave and eat a pack of hotdogs, one at a time
  • Metabolize one beer
  • Get halfway through a sleep cycle
  • Read 12 pages of Proust
  • Watch Gangnam Style 11 times
  • Learn esperanto

But would you rather learn esperanto, eat a pack of hot dogs or listen to Bill?

Lilly Ledbetter also spoke to delegates last night, saying, “This cause, which bears my name, is bigger than me. It’s as big as all of you. This fight, which began as my own, is now our fight—a fight for the fundamental American values that make our country great.”

And taking a dig at Romney, she said, “Maybe 23 cents doesn’t sound like a lot to someone with a Swiss bank account, Cayman Island Investments and an IRA worth tens of millions of dollars. But Governor Romney, when we lose 23 cents every hour, every day, every paycheck, every job, over our entire lives, what we lose can’t just be measured in dollars.”

Rush Limbaugh, while repeatedly insisting he is “not alleging a conspiracy,” suggested Monday the National Hurricane Center’s forecast models for Tropical Storm Isaac were altered to help President Barack Obama and “cast a pall” over the Republican National Convention.

“I’m not alleging conspiracies here. The Hurricane Center is the regime; the Hurricane Center is the Commerce Department,” Limbaugh said on his talk show. “It’s the government. It’s Obama.”

Ryan Denies Seeking Stimulus Money After Doing Just That

Paul Ryan may have been one of the stimulus bill’s biggest critics, but turns out he may have been a fan after all. Mitt Romney’s running mate wrote at least five letters to the Dept of Energy seeking stimulus money for two Wisconsin energy conservation companies, arguing that the funding would create jobs. One company received $2o million and the other $740k. Here’s an audio link of Ryan denying he had sought stimulus on a Boston talk radio show.
